Electronics & Tech Black Friday
Updated October 1, 2026
The real electronics deals in Toronto this Black Friday. We track the price drops on TVs, laptops, and audio gear.
Consumer electronics drive the highest volume of Black Friday traffic. The reality in Toronto is that independent tech shops cannot compete with the purchasing power of the national big-box retailers. The heavy discounts on televisions, laptops, and gaming consoles happen at the massive outlets at the Eaton Centre or out in the suburban retail parks.
If you are hunting for specialized gear—like audiophile turntables on Queen West or custom PC components—the local shops will run modest promotions. But for a 65-inch television, the lowest price will always come from a corporate anchor tenant.
FAQ
- Should I buy a TV from a local shop?
- No. Independent retailers cannot match the loss-leader pricing that major chains use to drive foot traffic on big screens.
- Where are the best deals on custom PC parts?
- The computer hardware shops outside the downtown core compete aggressively on components like GPUs and memory.
